At the ACCW is the Child Protection Unit (CPU), it is a child-friendly unit manned by a Multi-disciplinary Team composed of a Doctor, Social Worker and a Police officer using a Multi-disciplinary approach and networking in providing comprehensive medical and psycho-social services to abused children and their families to prevent further abuse and to initiate the process of healing.

These women and children are provided with appropriate psycho-social support which includes temporary protection/shelter, counseling services, assistance in filing of cases, medical, psychological support, transportation and livelihood assistance.

The Social Welfare Desk (SWD) aims to protect and preserve its tourism assets and resources through pro-active prevention of social problems concerning human trafficking and abuses to our women and children especially in Boracay Island.

This is also in response to the implementation of the Provincial Ordinance #05-032 (one Entry/Exit Policy) and the Aklan Children’s Code for a Child Wise Free Boracay. The Caticlan Jetty Port and Passenger Terminal (CJPPT) is considered a gateway to Boracay Island.
