Migration and Development is increasingly recognized globally as a key area for development. Despite the benefits derived from the remittances, there are also social costs and challenges that have to be addressed in order to sustain the gains of migration over-dependency on migrants earnings.

The province of Aklan through the Migration and Development Desk will conduct a Migrants Forum on March 15, 2018 at Gov. Corazon L. Cabagnot Tourism and Training Center, Old Buswang, Kalibo, Aklan at 9 o’clock in the morning. The main objective of the forum is to disseminate information on the rights and Benefits of OFWs and their families.
